'A' Division Notes 1893-1992

Method of scoring:
1893 - 1899 One point for a win, no points for a draw, and minus one point for a defeat.
1900 - 1929 Two points for a win and one point for a draw.
1930 - 1959 Three points for a win and one point for a draw.
1960 - 1962 Extra bonus point for side scoring most runs per over.
1963 - 1969 Win points increased to four.
1970 - 1974 Five points for a win, four points for a tie, two bonus points to side scoring most runs per over.
1975 - 1987 Twenty points for a win, seven points for a tie, four points for a draw, one bonus point for every 25 runs scored over 75 up to a maximum of five, one bonus point for every two wickets taken; only sides who tie, lose or draw are eligible for bonus points.
1988 - 1992 Draw points altered to six points for side batting first and two batting points second.
